Staff Accountant - New or Experienced!
Medical Associates is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team! This person should demonstrate strong attention to detail and knowledge of Excel.
Daily Activities: As a staff accountant you will work in a fast-paced environment where daily duties fluctuate depending on the time of month/year. You will be responsible for tasks related to maintaining the general ledger throughout the year, along with monthly preparation of financial statements. Annual tasks that the staff accountant will be involved with include annual financial audit, budget, compensation calculations, and inventory control. This person should demonstrate the ability to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Prepare and direct posting of journal entries in general ledger for all applicable entities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and related schedules for applicable entities.
- Review and analyze all general ledger accounts for monthly and year-end closing.
- Review and analyze monthly budget variances and assist in preparation of the annual budget.
- Maintain relevant statistical data used in analyzing trends and financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of workpapers and schedules required for annual financial statement audits.
- Calculate simple physician and advanced practice provider compensation agreements.
- Assist with compiling information for survey submissions to regional and national associations in areas of compensation and productivity, revenue and expense.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree in Accounting.
