Speech and Language Pathologist

Position: Speech and Language Pathologist, Pediatric (contract, part time or full time)

Pay: Dependent on experience and capabilities 

Pay Schedule: Employee is paid at the end of each month for hours worked during that month.

Be a part of a motivated and talented team of clinicians! Lynnwood Speech & Language Services is seeking a skilled SLP for either a part time position (15 – 24 hours/week), part time working toward a full time position (30-40 hours/week), or as an independent contractor. 


Lynnwood Speech & Language Services office has easy on/off access to I-5 with present clients coming from Seattle, Edmonds, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Everett, Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, and Bothell.

We are a pediatric SLP clinic devoted to patient health and superior customer service in a positive, supportive and down to earth environment.  Our clients range in age from 2 – 18.  We evaluate and treat children with a wide range of communication deficits, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental speech and language delays, phonological speech disorders, motor planning disorders, and language based learning deficits.  We are developmentally based and use treatment approaches working from that philosophy where one is flexible and able to adapt to a child’s individual needs. 

Job Summary: Under the general direction of Susan E. Stewart, M.S., CCC-SLP, owner of Lynnwood Speech and Language Services, the employee functions with limited supervision and is responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients, documentation, and communication of evaluation and treatment results, patient and caregiver education, appropriate use of patient and professional related materials. As a group, the clinicians support each other’s growth.

Job Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited university.

Experience: Completed Clinical Fellowship.

Knowledge/Skills/Licensure/Certification:

  • Must possess state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles and practices of speech-language pathology and the ability to apply them in treatment programs
  • Demonstrates ability to produce clear and concise written and oral reports
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain patient and facility confidentiality
  • Has met competency standards for designated procedures and client populations.
  • Company provides liability insurance
  • Completes required continuing education units

 

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, stuttering and cognitive-communication disorders in individual therapy
  • Follow practice policies and procedures for completing all required scheduling, billing, and clinical documentation
  • Participate in treatment teams, patient and family meetings and clinic meetings.
  • Participate in program development activities for the clinic
  • Maintain all licensure and certification requirements nationally and for the state of Washington

Pediatric clinic: serving children ranging in age from approximately 18 months – 18 years    of age.
