Job Title: Climate Corps Coordinator -AmeriCorps VISTA Member 

Organization: Michigan Community Service Commission 

Location: Remote with ability to travel to Lansing/Detroit area, Michigan

Are you a graduate student eager to drive meaningful change? Join AmeriCorps VISTA and use your skills in volunteerism, social media, community engagement, and marketing to build stakeholder partnerships.

 

As a VISTA member, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Climate Corps initiatives led by the Michigan Community Service Commission. Your responsibilities may include:

 

  • Promoting and expanding Climate Corps efforts
  • Assisting with grant writing and research
  • Supporting program development
  • Managing social media and marketing activities

AmeriCorps VISTA members receive a stipend of $957 bi-weekly stipend and an education award of $7,895 or a cash stipend of $1,800 upon completion of service.

 

*Position start is in January 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and serve with multiple projects.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and record progress.
  • Strong interests in volunteer service. 
  • Understanding of grant compliance.
  • Able to serve full-time with 37.5 hours a week.
