Job Description
Process Engineer
Continuous improvement or process engineers should have strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Prefer to have a track record of successful projects and knowledge of quality control and process improvement techniques however at minimum, the process engineer should understand quality control systems and process improvement techniques.
Skills
- Process reviews: Conduct reviews of processes
- Root cause analysis: Identify problems and their causes, and resolve them,
- Improvement plans: Develop plans for improvement
- Lean manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles and/or 5S Kaizen Principles
- Data analysis/Data Driven Problem Solving: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Cross-functional teams: Lead cross-functional teams
- Project management: Monitor progress towards goals and regularly update stakeholders on project status
Manager Notes:
Process engineers can have a mechanical engineering background; however, this role will focus more on process development and improvement/quality vs the design aspect. Looking for a positive high-energy attitude and an individual that works well in teams with strong self-motivation and takes the initiative. Overall, besides the required skills, we want this person to integrate well with our culture of safety, positivity, and shared values.
