Engineering Intern

Purpose

As an Engineering Intern Czinger Vehicles Inc., you will be tasked with gaining hands-on experience while supporting Czinger Automotive composition processes. You will assist in optimizing the direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow using industrial engineering methods. Moreover, this job position includes participating in the material flow, collecting, and analyzing production data to seek the best possible and accepted solutions. Furthermore, you can expect to work on specific projects or tasks under the supervision of our Engineers and other departments within the company to recommend improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters. You will gain experience in the execution of engineering processes. Additionally, you will collect, analyze, and evaluate manufacturing ideas to improve or develop new materials management and production planning functions

The Role

 

1)    Working directly with the Engineering Team and determining equipment, material flow, materials, and manufacturing methods to use.

2)    Monitoring of resources, allocations, and assets utilization.

3)    Collecting and analyzing production data to aid in the formulation of recommendations for process improvements.

4)    Creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and manufacturing process documentation.

5)    Assisting in the identification and resolution of safety, environmental, and regulatory issues concerning manufacturing processes and equipment.

6)    Support of safety performance through the design of ergonomic solutions for the different operations as well as for material handling.

7)    Participate in projects that support continuous improvement and increase the efficiency of our production lines.

8)    Coordinate required materials with Supply Chain and Production Control to have material available for production according to plan and optimize to maximize production output.

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Enrolled in College (mechanical or industrial degree)
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Solid interpersonal skills, capable of following detailed instructions of senior operators, team leads, and management staff and interfacing with engineering and manufacturing groups to understand and improve AM system designs.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word) and ability to learn software for managing manufacturing operations.
