Evergreen Park Public Library seeks an energetic, organized, and team-oriented individual to lead its adult programming and marketing efforts. This unique opportunity will require the successful candidate to be up to the challenge of managing multiple projects, setting priorities, achieving goals, and most importantly being a supportive and productive teammate. This position will have two main responsibilities: (1) lead the planning, developing, and evaluating of a full slate of programs and outreach for adults; and (2) exhibit a passion for creative content and communications that highlight the Library’s events and successes through traditional and emerging avenues, highlighted by managing the Library's newsletter and participating in the Library's various (and viral) social media accounts.

Evergreen Park Public Library proudly serves the 19,943 residents of Evergreen Park and its regular reciprocal users from neighboring southwest suburban communities and several adjacent Chicago neighborhoods.

Hours and Schedule

Full-time: 40-hour work week. Includes evening and weekend hours.

Salary:

$52,000 - $59,000 depending on qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited library school or BA/BS in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a library, marketing, or communications setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
