We are looking for a Summer Analyst to help support our M&A and FP&A activity. As Summer Analyst, you will assist with acquisitions, strategic planning, including budgeting, managing capital investments and implementing cost reduction programs. The ideal candidate will have an interest in finance with experiences in investment banking and private equity. We want to see strong analytical skills and experience with general accounting methods. We expect you to have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, communication skills (both written and oral) and a positive attitude. Our Summer Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization through sound business decisions by evaluating risks and opportunities in order to achieve organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with all aspects of due diligence for acquisitions
- Along with the senior team, support the transaction process and deal execution
- Identify key issues, design analysis/work plans to vet investment thesis; drive capital structure/financing; participate in negotiations; support all third parties and synthesize critical findings and effects on transaction
- Work with portfolio companies to guide execution of investment thesis. Prioritize and drive initiatives to improve portfolio companies and maximize equity value creation
- Contribute to firm-building activities including but not limited to; recruiting, training, professional development, deal origination
