Summer Intern - Medical Affairs, Training & Operations

Overview

The Insmed Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment in the pharmaceutical industry, receive mentoring from highly skilled professionals, and work on dynamic team projects. Our 2025 Summer Intern program is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship. This internship is within the Medical Affairs function. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and gain hands on experience within Training & Operations space.

Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:  

  • Train as a core member of the within Medical Affairs Training and Operations Team to assist in providing accurate, fair-balanced, evidence-based information to the internal MSL team
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and build relationships across departments and functions (e.g., research, health economics and outcomes research, clinical drug development, marketing)
  • Train with cross-functional teams to assist with the execution of the strategic medical plans.
  • Gain insight into the various roles within Medical Affairs and other functional groups.
  • Support the medical team through various activities, training, and initiatives that are strategically aligned with medical priorities.
  • Improve written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • In addition, the intern, in consultation with the internship supervisor, will develop and present one structured presentation relevant to internship activities.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship.
  • Applicant must be an undergraduate student focusing in a STEM discipline. 
  • Applicant must have completed at least 2 years within their undergraduate program
  • Appropriate STEM coursework required
  • Experience performing searches of medical and scientific literature
  • Excellent leadership, oral, and written communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism are required
  • Global mindset to thrive in a diverse work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Salary Range

$25 - $35 an hour

Compensation & Benefits

Eligible for paid company holidays during the intern program.
