Associated Student Government Coordinator Intern

Job Title: Associated Student Government (ASG) Coordinator Intern

Job Description:

As an Associated Student Government (ASG) Coordinator Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of initiatives, policies, and events that shape the student experience at your university or college. This role allows you to work on leadership, communication, and project management while representing your peers in student government activities. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, both technical and non-technical, as the ASG relies on a wide variety of skill sets to fulfill its mission.

Whether you're a developer, designer, content creator, or a leader, your role within ASG will give you the chance to make a positive impact on the student community and grow professionally in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and management of student government initiatives and projects.
  • Work closely with student leaders and administrators to represent student interests in meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to policy development, advocacy, and campus-wide initiatives that align with student needs.
  • Organize and promote events that enhance student engagement and community involvement.
  • Collaborate with various student organizations and campus departments to build partnerships and enhance the student experience.
  • Provide input and ideas to improve campus life through various ASG activities, events, and programs.
  • Perform specific roles based on your area of expertise (e.g., technical, media, or leadership).

Roles Available:

  • Technical: Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, iOS Developer, Andriod Developer, DevOps Engineer, Web Developer, SAP, Salesforce, Wordpress, Flutter, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Analyst.
  • Non-Technical: Content Writer, Video Editor, Event Planner, Graphic Designer, Director, Social Media Manager, Marketing, Legal Associate.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in any field (technical or non-technical).
  • Passionate about making a difference in the student community and enhancing the student experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience working in teams and collaborating on large-scale projects.
  • Open to working with diverse groups of students and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Specific technical or creative skills depending on the role you're applying for (e.g., coding languages, content creation, event management).

Skill Sets:

  • Technical: Proficiency in programming languages (Node.js, Python, Swift, etc.), web development, cloud infrastructure, and version control systems (Git).
  • Non-Technical: Experience with content creation, graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva), video editing software, and event coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
  • Effective time management and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.
