As our Lymphedema Therapist at Marian Regional Medical Center, you will provide patients with hands-on, personalized care to help them build up strength after surgery, injury, or illness. Your critical and creative thinking coupled with access to our advanced equipment and techniques allows you to provide patients with wide range of solutions to address their complex rehabilitation needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapist
- Experience in Lymphedema treatment and techniques or Certified in Lymphatic Studies preferred.
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing with the Physical Therapy Board of California or eligible to obtain.
- Current American Heart Association CPR Certification (CPR-AHA)
Special Skills:
- Effectively manage patients requiring decongestive therapy based on staging identification from the physician
- Recommend off-the-shelf and custom lymphedema garments with support from multiple vendors
- Provide education on Lymphedema Prevention methods
- Manage patients and families expectations with compassion and transparency concerning disease progression, treatment outcomes, and quality of life
