Job Description
EO/IR RESEARCH ENGINEER
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Development, integration, and advanced processing of state-
of-the-art digital sensors and data collection/processing technology. The responsibilities
include multi-band sensor system design, development, integration, data collection, and
data processing. In addition, support design and development of EO/IR optics, focal plane
array, electronics, and other sensor technology.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physicist or
equivalent and 5+ years of experience. Experience in signal, image, and data processing
with knowledge of analog and digital electronics. Experience in system hardware design.
Knowledge in some or several of these areas is preferred:
• Experience working in research design, evaluation and test of new EO/IR Sensor
Focal planes and sensors.
• Experience creating data acquisition setups to collect data from research sensors
in the lab and in the field.
• Experience performing radiometric analysis of the collected data to characterize
sensor performance.
• Ability to fabricate needed test setups for sensor evaluation.
• Experience with C/C++, MATLAB, Python
• Experience with lasers used in countermeasure systems.
• Experience with ISR or MWS multiband sensors.
• Experience with Infrared Countermeasure sensors, systems and components a
plus
Position supports a US Government contract. U. S. citizenship required and
ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Existing DOD Secret Clearance
preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience.
