Location: 100 Cummings Center 227Q, Beverly MA, (45-minute drive North of Boston)
Hours:
- Monday - Friday (30 - 35 hours)
- In Office: 10:00am-3:30pm
- In Schools: 7am-2:30pm (start time varies depending on the school)

Internship Description:

As an intern, you'll have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities, from constructing a towering wind turbine in a classroom one day to evaluating grant applications the next. Co-op team members actively contribute to various dimensions of our mission, spanning from social media and marketing to in-depth sustainability research. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in crafting lessons and materials that will leave a lasting impact on thousands of students.

Our responsibilities take us to schools year-round, including the summer months, with occasional half-days back at the office. This is a full-time, in-person position, providing a dynamic and immersive experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, hands-on programs to students across different grade levels and learning environments.
- Mentor children in small groups during lessons.
- Take on leadership roles in delivering lessons.
- Contribute fresh and innovative ideas to our curriculum and programs.
- Participate in fundraising activities.
- Collaborate on team projects.
- Maintain and improve lesson materials.
- Assist with the transport of materials, weighing up to 40 lbs, in and out of classrooms and schools.
Education and Experience:
Coursework in related fields:
- Sciences, Engineering, Education, Environmental Studies, Public Health, Political Science, Business, Marketing, Public Relations.
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, etc.)
- Willingness and aptitude to learn applications such as Canva, Monday, and Squarespace.
- Previous experience working with children is a plus.

- $8,000 salary; paid bi-weekly.
- Salary is taxable income and processed through Change is Simple’s payroll system.
