Data Analyst AmeriCorps VISTA
Organization Overview:
Rhode Island Free Clinic is nationally recognized for its volunteer/community partner model. In 2018 the Clinic mobilized an active statewide corps of over 500 medical volunteers, support professionals, and community partners throughout RI to provide nearly 9,000 patient visits and a medical home to uninsured, low-income RI adults. We believe in strengthening our community by giving people resources and education to help themselves. The Clinic also serves as a training site for aspiring healthcare professionals. Services and training are provided at the Clinic in Providence at its state-of-the-art, 8,000 square foot facility, and around RI at the sites of our collaborating partners. The Clinic raises 100% of its $1.5 million annual budget, and leverages over $7.5 million in additional health resources to provide medical care and wellness programs to improve the health of vulnerable RI adults. Through the Clinic’s comprehensive range of free health services, patients' health is stabilized and improved, and they are empowered through increased health literacy, follow-up visits, and referrals to self-manage chronic conditions and better maintain their own wellness.
Position Overview:
The Clinic seeks a savvy, highly organized Data Analyst AmeriCorps VISTA to build the Clinic’s capacity by developing a newly created data warehouse to extract monthly reporting, and to collaborate with top medical professionals to collect, analyze, and interpret health data, benchmarking, and impact analysis to develop best practices. This person will be responsible for championing data collection & reporting; creating new report formats and content, and producing data reports. This position offers a unique opportunity to thrive in the Clinic’s highly professional, personable, and dynamic volunteer model.
You will also join a network of over 200 thousand currently serving AmeriCorps members and over 1 MILLION AmeriCorps alums, as part of the AmeriCorps VISTA program. AmeriCorps VISTA is a year-long full-time service term, in which members support the capacity of non-profit organizations for poverty alleviation.
