Instructional Design and Technology Intern

As an intern at Berry Global in the Consumer Packaging North America Division, you will participate in our Summer 2025 Leadership Series where you will have the opportunity to meet and learn from business leaders from across the organization. Additionally, you will participate in networking events, a volunteer activity serving the greater Evansville community, and work on meaningful projects during your time at Berry.

This position requires in-person attendance at our Evansville, IN location. Ideal candidates will reside in the tri-state area and be able to commute daily.

 

Responsibilities

  • Present a professional image as a representative of Berry Global.
  • Assist in the analysis of training needs by gathering information from subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Support the design and development of engaging training materials, including e-learning modules, videos, instructor-led trainings, and job aids.
  • Collaborate with various teams to implement training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the evaluation of training effectiveness through feedback and assessment tools.
  • Research best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles to ensure high-quality training materials.
  • Help maintain our enablement platforms and support the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to training logistics and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with the user community, Sales and Operations teams, and other departments and leaders within Berry Global.
  • Follow and promote all Berry Global safety values and practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Familiarity with instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), video editing software (Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro), and learning management systems is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluation and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative, or technical nature.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
