ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

Marketing Interns are charged to learn and embody Reynolds creating a better tomorrow. Interns, with the guidance of mentors, are responsible for supporting the company in the sale, marketing, and promotion of its full portfolio of products and programs to adult nicotine consumers.  

Reynolds offers internship experiences in several different areas of marketing. Each of these areas is essential in building and executing the promotion of our products and offers interns the opportunity to learn about how these areas support our corporate strategy.

Growth Management
Provide holistic, insight-led approach to generating value through advance Pricing, Promotion, Trade Investment and Assortment strategies - powered by data and science.
 

Brand Marketing
Developing, planning, and executing the category marketing mix to drive the delivery of brand value and growth.

Consumer Experience
Activates fully connected consumer​ journeys to improve awareness, loyalty, and Customer Lifetime Value using data and technology to deliver personalized experiences in the Moments That Matter across all of our brands.
 

Trade Marketing
Engaging customers and consumers about Reynolds’ full portfolio of products, key strategic initiatives and our vision creating a better tomorrow.

Independent judgment/decision-making, influencing/sales skills, strong organization, time management and data-analysis skills are key essentials to the position of a full-time Reynolds Marketing professional. During the Internship Program, Interns will be exposed to training surrounding these skills to best prepare for a career at Reynolds. This includes comprehensive industry learning and coaching support that enables individuals to leverage their strengths. The company demonstrates this commitment by empowering employees to challenge conventional thinking and creates an environment for innovative thinkers.


WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Develops superior product knowledge and, under manager and mentor guidance, learns about product pricing, sales, distribution, and consumer marketing brand strategies.
  • Actively promotes the marketing mix driving performance against assigned quantitative and qualitative sales goals and brand measures.
  • Develop and present a strategic business analysis project addressing real business opportunitiesand creating action plans against those opportunities.
  • Completes personal development and training sessions on social styles and adaptive communication.
  • Effectively and appropriately uses independent judgment in making business and strategy recommendations.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree with completed coursework in marketing, business administration, or related field
  • 21 years or older at the start of the Internship Program
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with no restrictions and safe driving record
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • An action-oriented, innovative leader with strong influencing skills and a drive for results
  • Strong interpersonal skills

 

BENEFICIAL

  • Previous sales and/or marketing internship experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint

SALARY AND BENEFITS OVERVIEW

Wage Information

Hourly Rate: Undergraduate Rate: $21.00 per hour / Graduate Rate: $38.50 per hour
