Teacher - Seattle Area - STEAME

We are looking for a motivated Teacher to work with our education team and help bring to life our mission to empower middle and high school students through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education. Our project focuses on creating hands-on lessons and activities designed to inspire students in STEAM fields.

The Teacher will be responsible for delivering both in-person and online lessons, providing an engaging and interactive learning experience for students in the Seattle area. This includes adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and encouraging student exploration and creativity in STEAM subjects.

The Teacher will develop and use problem-solving, communication, creativity, planning, time management, and organizational skills. Throughout the role, there will be ample opportunity for learning, growth, and feedback.

This role is hybrid, with both in-person and online teaching responsibilities in the Seattle area. Team meetings will be set so everyone can attend.

In this role, you will have the chance to create a lasting impact on students by not only teaching core STEAM concepts but also inspiring curiosity and a passion for learning. You’ll collaborate with fellow educators and STEAM professionals to continually refine and improve teaching methods, ensuring that students receive the most engaging and up-to-date content. Your ability to adapt lessons to various learning styles will play a key role in helping students gain confidence and excel in STEAM subjects.

We are a volunteer-based non-profit organization and are looking for teachers who can make a semester or longer commitment.
