Maintenance Generalist -2ND & 3RD shifts, New London, WI

Job Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

 

This Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide preventative maintenance electrical or mechanical operation.
  • Ability to install /maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, cylinders.
  • Troubleshoot or repair mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to change out or set up equipment, i.e., mixers, pumps, processing equipment.
  • Must be able to change out and set-up equipment for operation.
  • Must be able to perform minor prefab and run machine shop equipment.
  • Personnel are responsible for cleaning their work area.
  • Must be able to work overtime if required.
  • May be subject to call back on weekends and holidays .
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

                                                                 

REQUIREMENTS:        

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months )
  • General knowledge of gear drives and conveyors, required
  • General knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, required.
  • Able to work weekends, and holidays, required.
  • Able to work in adverse temperatures
