 Job Duties - IT Director
 

  • Maintain and upkeep technical systems
    • Maintain the Radio Broadcast system, including computer and accompanying hardware 
    • Maintain the Production PC
    • Maintain the CD Ripping PC
    • Maintain the Music Library NAS
    • Be comfortable with all hardware required for typical DJ operation
  • Keep computer systems up to date
    • Update all software regularly
    • Update ProppFrexx and Mixlr whenever possible
    • UpdateWindows 10 whenever possible on all computers
    • Update audio and visual drivers whenever necessary
  • Research solutions to improve station
    • Find new software and hardware solutions to improve station operations
    • Learn to utilize current software more effectively
  • Asses and solve technical issues
    • Resolve problems when the radio goes down
    • Resolve problems with the radio technology when it is not working properly
    • Work to prevent hardware and software issue in the radio station
  • Build and maintain data systems
    • Update and maintain music files for ease of use in the ProppFrexx system
    • Research for improving ways to store music files in the computer system
  • Knowledge of the ProppFrexx system
    • Develop knowledge of the ProppFrexx software
    • Find new ways to use ProppFrexx that would benefit the station
    • Be able to make changes to the ProppFrexx autoplay schedule
    • Know how to make changes to the ProppFrexx library
    • Be able to solve issues that arise with ProppFrexx
    • Know how to make changes to input/output audio streams and associated drivers
  • Work with other E-staff on a variety of other task which can include

     -  Creating liners 

     -  Making decisions involved with station budget 

                 -  Identifying technology that needs to be updated 

                 - Assist in making sure the station follows all FCC guidelines


 

Salary: $11.33 an hour with the potential of 15 hours a week 

Hours are determined by the needs of the station and the IT directors drive to create additional projects for the station.
