Newport Systems is an information processing and services company that provides software for its’ clients. This position will be responsible for managing daily systems activities and be a point of contact and support for client questions and issues. The billing support analyst is expected to be able to process billing inquiries, generate invoices, monitor customer health, and resolve customer requests.

Responsibilities:
- Creating, issuing, and posting invoices on behalf of customers.
- Managing the account reconciliation and identifying inconsistencies. Communicating with customers to ensure visibility on open items.
- Thoroughly and accurately understanding issues and analyzing problems in a systematic fashion.
- Analyzing each specific request, determining the underlying problem, and recommending a proper solution.
- Working independently and prioritizing customer requests.
- Understanding and executing standard escalation procedures with tiered support.
- Responding calmly to customer complaints and time sensitive matters by professionally communicating with departmental group, staff, and executives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- Strong grasp of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically high proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Passion for making things better.
- Having a good working comprehension of IT concepts including Office 365, web-based solutions, mobile applications, etc.
- Having effective communication skills to work with employees and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- Transportation/Intermodal industry experience
- SQL capabilities
- 3-5 years of customer service-related experience
Work Environment:
- We are a hybrid working environment.
- Our office is regularly cleaned, has been upgraded to supply barriers and social distancing. The HVAC system has been upgraded to a hospital-grade filtration system to ensure team members' safety.
- Hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. EST.
