Construction Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Engineer to join our team. Collaborating with clients to consult, analyze, estimate, construct, and maintain various structures located primarily on the inland river system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, with a proven ability to manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction projects.
- Analyze detailed project plans, specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety and building codes, as well as environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction design professionals.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely and profitable completion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams.
- Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in construction engineering, preferred in the marine industry.
- Experience with land surveying techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or an equivalent certification.
- Experience with GPS and Total Stations.
- Knowledge of GIS software.
