Public Health Internship
Please note: We do not review applications on Handshake. Please see application instructions below.
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) welcomes students looking for experiential learning opportunities with practicing public health professionals in Rhode Island and are challenged to apply what they have learned at school to help create innovative solutions to public health problems. Students gain insight about the multiple disciplines contributing to public health, and work within teams to develop policies, programs, and interventions that impact many Rhode Islanders.
We work with students who are pursuing many different types of degree programs, both traditionally and non-traditionally related to public health, at many different levels of education, including undergraduate, graduate, residency, doctorate, and more.
Application Process for Interested Students:
- Review available projects in the RIDOH Public Health Scholar Project Repository.
- Complete and submit the RIDOH Public Health Scholar Application, including project IDs listed in the repository.
