#4662 - Long Term Substitute Music Teacher
Anticipated Duration of this Position:
November 4, 2024 - April 7, 2025
The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a long-term substitute elementary band teacher. This position will be responsible for teaching beginning band to 5th graders at several elementary schools within the district. The candidate should possess a strong background in band instruments as well as be a proficient band instrument player. An active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification is required for this position. Prior experience as a music teacher is also preferred. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of elementary school-aged children and good communication skills. Must understand and be able to teach the approved curriculum. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.

If selected for an interview the following original items must be presented at that time:
- Copy of teaching certificate
- Copy of PRAXIS results (if applicable)
- Official college and/or university transcripts
If hired for employment, the applicant must be able to submit the following clearances:
- Criminal Record Check (less than one year old)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (less than one year old)
- FBI Finger Print Clearance (less than one year old)
