Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and creative WordPress Intern to join our team. As a WordPress Intern, you will assist in building and maintaining our website, ensuring a seamless user experience and visually appealing design. You will gain hands-on experience in web development, content management, and SEO optimization, working closely with our digital marketing and content teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Customize themes and plugins to meet the company's requirements.
- Collaborate with content and design teams to integrate graphics, multimedia, and other content into the website.
- Update and publish content on the website using the WordPress CMS.
- Ensure website functionality and performance, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Perform basic SEO optimization tasks, such as improving site speed, meta tags, and keywords.
- Conduct website testing and ensure mobile and cross-browser compatibility.
- Stay updated on WordPress best practices and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, IT, or related fields.
- Basic understanding of WordPress and its core features.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic knowledge required).
- Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to web content.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in web development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with popular WordPress plugins like Elementor, Yoast SEO, WooCommerce, etc.
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL is a plus.
- Previous experience in web development, content management, or similar roles is preferred but not required.
