2025 Winter Consulting Intern

Fall 2024 Business Consultation for the Idaho Technology Council Foundation, Inc.

We are working on a project for the Idaho Tech Council. Project Areas of Focus:

  • 2025 Eastern Idaho TECH Expo Event Management
  • Idaho Technology Council growth in Eastern Idaho Strategies

Brief Description of Company: Idaho Technology Council Foundation, Inc. is based out of Boise. We are the voice of industry driving innovation in the state of Idaho. We are producing an Eastern Idaho TECH Expo in Idaho Falls in March 2025. This event will be held at the Mountain America Arena/Conference Center. We are looking for students wanting to assist with event management and coordination of speakers, breakout sessions, vendor research and management.

The Challenge: We are planning this inaugural event in Eastern Idaho. We want this EXPO to be a great event we do each and every year. We need to get many vendors as well for the event. We are looking for students that can help make this event a success!

 

Internship Opportunity at the Idaho Entrepreneur Center

Organization Overview:
The Research Business Development Center (RBDC) is a non-profit organization transitioning to the new Idaho Entrepreneur Center (IEC). Our internship program provides you with opportunities to work with real companies, and do real consultation!  Your internship will include receiving trainings, communicating with a team, leadership opportunities, and working directly with real companies in need of your skills. 

 

Internship Description:
As a Student Intern, you will be part of a collaborative and innovative team focused on providing companies with deliverables to address specific project needs. We have several different companies and projects we work with, so many different skills and majors are a great fit for the RBDC! This internship offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in various fields, including Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, and Communications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

     Project Collaboration: Collaborate with a diverse group of students to work on projects sourced by RBDC from partnering companies.

     Professional Training: Receive comprehensive training and mentorship from RBDC professionals to enhance your skills and capabilities.

     Networking Opportunities: Engage with peers, industry professionals, and RBDC staff to build a strong professional network.

     Client Interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations, gaining exposure to real-world business challenges.

     Teamwork: Work effectively within a team environment, contributing your skills and insights to project success.

 

Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a relevant major such as Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or Communications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

20 - 25 hours of work a week
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
 

Internship Details:

     Duration: Spring 2024 Semester
     Location: RBDC Office (on-site and remote opportunities)
     Time Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
