Compliance Analyst

Pay Range

The full pay range is $40.44 - $60.65 hourly. Depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available. Incentive targets vary by role.

 

We offer a bilingual differential for employees who can assist our members' financial needs in a second language. Proficiency is subject to passing a standardized verbal assessment. Currently approved languages are Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Tagalog.

We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our team! This position ensures credit union compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Coordinates compliance initiatives with other departments in accordance with business plans, ensures compliance management program is tracked centrally, and acts as a liaison with various business units when compliance updates are required.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and interprets existing and emerging federal, state, and local regulations affecting credit union operations.
  • Works collaboratively with management to analyze the impact regulatory changes may have on operations. Makes recommendations to implement any changes to policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Utilizes the credit union’s fair lending monitoring software, monitors and evaluates lending practices to ensure adherence to fair lending laws and regulations.
  • Develops fair lending review program and conducts fair lending reviews, identifies disparities or issues, and recommends corrective action.
  • Prepares reports and maintains documentation related to fair lending assessments and reviews.
  • Conducts reviews of quality control testing to ensure accuracy and adherence to compliance standards in credit union operations.
  • Analyzes and reports on quality control findings, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Tracks and maintains records of compliance training completion, ensuring all staff are up-to date with compliance requirements.
  • Monitors and manages the reporting of high-risk complaints from members. May assist in complaint investigations, including working with business units to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assists during internal audits and regulatory examinations by gathering any required documentation. Work with business units on remediating findings and recommendations that may arise from an audit or exam.
  • Assists in developing, updating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Develops and delivers compliance training programs for staff to promote awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements, as needed.
  • Monitors and reports on the credit union’s overall compliance risk posture.
  • Maintains current knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensures duties performed are in compliance with all security, audit, regulatory compliance, information security, customer privacy, and Bank Secrecy Act/Customer Identification Program policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in compliance support at a financial institution.

Certifications:

  • Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field of study.
  • Experience with nCino.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting credit union operations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and analyze the impact of regulatory changes on operations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing fair lending review programs and conducting fair lending assessments.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining documentation related to fair lending assessments and reviews.
  • Ability to analyze quality control findings to recommend improvements.
  • Knowledge of compliance training requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills to track and maintain records of compliance training completion and high-risk complaints.
  • Experience in assisting with internal audits and regulatory examinations, including gathering required documentation and working with business units on remediation.
  • Ability to develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of compliance risk management and the ability to monitor and report on the credit union's overall compliance risk posture.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, customer privacy, and Bank Secrecy Act/Customer Identification Program policies and procedures.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance is paid at a 100% by company for the employee coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and Day Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time.

 

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
