Global Sustainability Intern - Hybrid
Job Summary
As part of BV Enterprise Evolution as a Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to drive agility, innovation, and hold BV accountable as an organization to our commitment to sustainability. As a member of this team, you are enthusiastic about innovation, growth, and sustainability and are excited to works across multiple areas of BV. Working directly with the Enterprise Sustainability Team and Global Sustainability Leader.
Job duties may include:
- Support the efforts of analyzing, reporting on and driving Black & Veatch's sustainability performance.
- Work closely with a wide range of groups within the organization, including the Market Sectors, BV Operations, Global Real Estate, Human Resources, the CIO's Office, Marketing and more, to gather data, and implement sustainability performance improvements.
- Support development and implementation of sustainability related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on global sustainability metrics including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics.
- Support the development of annual sustainability reporting requirements and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Support ESG compliance and reporting to improve performance.
- Support efforts to collect, synthesize and report on data measuring performance of existing and new actions against relevant baselines.
- Assist with creation/modification of presentations, spreadsheets, standard operating procedures, and various documentation.
- Support employee engagement and knowledge share about sustainability through by creating and disseminating sustainability communications.

Minimum Qualifications
Current enrollment in accredited university in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing or related field of study. No previous experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
