What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Co-Op to join Connections Category team within Core Purchasing. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Support buyers with data analytics and support to refresh and improve existing Excel based templates
  • Support sub-assembly team to build improved categorization and tracking of cable/cable components to aid in cost engineering
  • Support departmental tracking of cost savings ideas, tracking actual performance against forecast.  Support updates to the buyers related to performance against plan

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship/co-op targeting  
  • Ability to work an average of 20 hours a week on-site
  • Ability to work a minimum of two semesters 
  • Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of two semesters
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
