The Age-Friendly LV VISTA will support the development of a regional plan for an Age-Friendly Lehigh Valley community, focusing on raising awareness about social isolation and its impact on the health and well-being of older adults. The VISTA will facilitate activities that enhance education and awareness, connecting caregivers of those with dementia to vital resources. They will build relationships with organizations involved in the Senior Appreciation bags initiative to assess resources and identify opportunities for expanding programming and services. Additionally, the VISTA will manage coalitions and workgroups effectively by developing communication processes, including the preparation and distribution of new materials and resources for members and external groups. This role will also promote intergenerational and social connectedness opportunities, fostering a supportive environment for older adults and enhancing community engagement.
