Duties

  • Serves as an IT Specialist and member of a support team in the Defense Automatic Addressing System (DAAS).
  • Participates in a variety of systems engineering assignments to include but not limited to system/network design, product development, personal computer/office automation support and infrastructure support.
  • System engineering assignments include may include but are not limited to work with network software (FTP, SMTP, utilities, and monitoring tools), and communication circuits (voice, internet, NIPRNET, dedicated circuits, dial-up, LAN, WAN).
  • Provides IT support to one or more ADP and/or telecommunications AISs, PC/office automation and/or telecommunications infrastructure and serves as a technical authority in these areas.
  • Provides IT support in the organization system, software, and infrastructure engineering.
  • Serves as a software, hardware, and telecommunications system administrator in support of system integration requirements.
  • Develops processing software that executes on a series of HPUX, RHEL and/or Windows servers running in a distribution environment
