Community Health Intern

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern pursuing a degree in Community Health, Public Health, or a related field to join our team as a Community Health Intern. 

This internship opportunity will provide invaluable hands on experience in the field of community health, health education, and nonprofit work focused on improving the health and wellness of diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on community health issues, with a specific focus on topics such as preventive health, health education, chronic disease management, and health disparities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of community health programs and initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes.
• Support the planning and execution of health education workshops, community events, and health fairs.
• Collaborate with team members to create educational materials, presentations, and resources for community health promotion.
• Assist in the evaluation of community health programs, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in outreach activities to engage community members and build partnerships with local organizations.
• Contribute to the organization's communications efforts by drafting content for newsletters, blog posts, and social media platforms.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, filing, and organizing documents.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled (or a recent graduate) in an undergraduate or graduate program in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, or a related field.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate health information to diverse audiences.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data analysis tools.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong interest in community health, public health education, and health promotion.
• Basic knowledge of public health principles and community health practices.
• Prior experience in community health, health education, or nonprofit work is always a plus.
