We are looking for an exceptional Backend Engineer to join our team and help revolutionize the future of how humanity interfaces with AI. At Channel AI you’ll be part of a collaborative culture, work with passionate and driven teammates, and have the opportunity to make a significant impact. This is a full-time, in-office position in downtown Palo Alto, California.
 

Responsibilities

  • Take high level direction from VP of Engineering and CEO to create new features and systems, optimize existing ones, and work on highly diverse challenges related to the everchanging AI ecosystem
  • Manage our multi-vendor infrastructure for Generative AI model inference
  • Build data pipelines for our recommendation system
  • Improve system resilience and responsiveness for our users
  • Improve our system monitoring and error tracing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field
  • Able to solve complex problems with creative solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS or other similar services, GPU hosting experience a plus
  • Experience with recommendation systems, LLMs, and machine learning generally
  • Experience with chat or messaging applications, particularly ejabberd
  • Experience with a scalable SQL database or NoSQL database
