The Role
Lumen offers a fully immersive, 10-week summer internship program. Our interns demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and a passion for advancing technology. Program dates: May 30 – August 8, 2025.
Location
- This position will ideally be hybrid in the Bay Area, however open to remote for the right candidate.
The Main Responsibilities
Lumen’s Enterprise Sales and Public Sector organization is looking for a Technical Sales Account Manager Intern on our Large Enterprise team. This position will report to our San Jose, CA or work remote. This team’s focus is centered around sales in which you will find solutions for our customers needs. This intern will have the opportunity to work with large clients, gain technical sales experience, and develop sales techniques through exposure and mentorship. Interns can expect to assist with hands on team projects and individual contributions.
Other responsibilities of intern will include:
- Managing 5+ customer accounts
- Learn sales system
- Develop sales techniques
- Build client relations
- Read 10K’s
- Provide innovative ideas to sales team
- Other duties as assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

Required qualifications
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship
- Graduating August 2025 – May 2027
- Preferred fields include bur not limited to: Business, Marketing, Sales, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025)
- US work authorization is required. Individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Must be proficient in Word and PowerPoint

Compensation
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
Hourly Based Pay Range:
Min: $22.00/hour
Max: $35.00/hour
What to Expect Next

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
