Registered Dietitian - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator

JOB TITLE (#25144): Registered Dietitian - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator - New Rochelle, NY

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical facility, preferably a nursing home

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator to fill an opening with a Review Company located in New Rochelle, New York.

Requirements of the Registered Dietitian - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator:

  • Must have an NYS Registered Dietitian license
  • Must be a graduate of a registered professional dietician program
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a medical facility, preferably a nursing home
  • 2 years of experience performing nursing home surveillance activities is preferred
  • SMQT Certification is preferred but should be able to obtain within 12 months of employment

Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator:

  • Participate in surveys or complaint investigations to include allegations of abuse and neglect, and perform surveillance activities/tasks at nursing homes (long-term care) to determine compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame, using Principles of Documentation.
  • Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame.
  • Complete data entry in Federal and State reporting databases as required.
  • Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Testify in administrative hearings as needed.
  • Adhere to DOH work schedules.
  • Adhere to DOH and company policies, and procedures.
  • Travel to onsite locations according to work schedule
