Private Equity Fund Accountant

Position: Private Equity Fund Accountant - Private Equity Firm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Book daily fund and entity activities.
  • Assist in the production of quarterly accounting and financial reports, daily cash flows,  reporting prep, performance calculations and capital calls/distributions, investor queries, inputting asset valuations, etc
  • Assist in implementing new accounting system and become the liaison for all things related to the system

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Private Equity, Private Equity Real Estate, Real Assets / Infrastructure, or Hybrid Fund Accounting/Audit.
  • If no prior experience, should have taken accounting classes in college and done accounting work at an internship or job.
  • Demonstrated interest in working in financial services in accounting
  • A mix of public accounting (audit) and fund accounting / fund administration experience is highly desirable.
  • Tech-savvy with a passion for new technologies. Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, or other Private Equity Accounting systems) is advantageous.
  • Self-driven, eager to learn and contribute, with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills. Able to communicate effectively at all levels of seniority.

Location: This is an in-office position based in New York.
