The Summer Internship Program
Cheniere Energy’s 2025 Summer Internship Program is a 12-week paid internship program that will run from May 19, 2025 to August 8, 2025. As an Intern with Cheniere you’ll gain hands-on experience applying principles in your discipline from the classroom to the real world. You’ll work on a variety of projects that impact the overall success of the Company, develop your technical skillsets, and gain invaluable experience that will prepare you for success in the Energy industry. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will engage with senior leadership during monthly Role Model Lunches, help support organizational goals through community service events, and network with your peers at Intern social events throughout the summer.
Engineering Services (Mechanical) Responsibilities
Potential job duties:
- Assist the Fixed Equipment Group in the support of plant technical staff to keep the plant systems operational
- Assist the Fixed Equipment Group in the development and review of procedures to update the Technical Services Manual
- Assist the Fixed Equipment Group in the maintenance and troubleshooting of fixed equipment in the plant; piping, pressure vessels, valves, and tanks.
Qualifications
- Applicants must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college or university and a course of study, relevant to the department/function of interest.
- Major: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preference given to students with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Interns must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have strong oral and written communications skills, be able to work effectively and build relationships with others.
- Must have good organization and planning skills, demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
- Must possess deductive reasoning skills, be able to analyze and synthesize information for problem solving.
- Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email software, internet searching, and other programs.
