Full Job Description

Our goal is to be a place you’re excited and proud to work at! More than anything, we understand the greatest asset to our office and our patients are happy long-term employees, and we strive to make that a reality. Nebraska Dental Center is a non-corporate, single doctor office with many long term employees seeking a positive, friendly, and proactive Registered Dental Hygienist with a strong work ethic who is interested in helping our patients find the best way for them to reach their optimal oral health!

We believe in the importance of treating each patient as an individual, in a way that fits with their goals and budget. We recently completed a full office, full day CE course where we brought in a top educator in the dental hygiene community, Brandi Hooker Evans, to re-educate and update our ENTIRE team. We spent a full day learning how a patient’s oral health impacts their overall health, how to recognize signs of early inflammation, and more importantly, how to help our patients understand their health better . And we are excited! Additionally, we received updated training on early signs of periodontal disease and ways to help treat it before permanent bone loss occurs. All of this to say, we are dedicated to finding ways to offer the best care to our patients in a way that fits their lifestyle.

Work life balance is important to us. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, seeing patients from 8 am to 4pm with a 30 minute paid lunch. For how a work day looks, we schedule 30 minute child prophys, 1 hour adult recall prophy or perio maintenance appointments, and 90 minute new patient or SRP appointments (2 quads max in these 90 minutes) and do not run assisted hygiene meaning you get time to get to know your patients. We do not have production goals, believing your focus should be on what's best for the patient. We provide cavitrons and will order requested hand instruments or specific supplies as desired. We believe in allowing our hygienists to have as much autonomy as possible in determining the best course of care for our patients, and providing them with whatever equipment is needed to do so.

In addition to the benefits listed below, we offer 7 paid holidays and free dental care to you, your spouse, parents, grandparents, kids, and grandkids after a 90 day waiting period. We also pay for CPR/BLS renewal, provide a uniform allowance, and have a positive, relaxed, and family-oriented work environment filled with wonderful people. Please feel free to message with any questions, concerns, or any additional info you would want to provide! Resumes are appreciated.
