Members of the team may be involved in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and/or support of products that meet the Firm’s critical business needs. What you may experience as part of an Internship with BBH’s Technology Department.
- Becoming part of vibrant functional team of technology professionals and working closely with technology leaders and senior developers to build systems used globally by our employees and clients
- Exposure to different areas of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Exposure to Project Management Methodologies and the various tools used to support them
- Supporting business requirements discovery and creating requirements documentation through close cooperation with the product owners and software development teams
- Providing assistance in planning meetings, preparation of materials, and participation in meetings with business users and/or vendors
- Analyzing proposed changes or technical issues to be fixed, and helping with solutioning and troubleshooting
- Involvement in design process and technical specification documentation which may include data modeling, dataflow diagramming, screen design, workflow analysis, etc.
- Participation in development process and systems testing, and exposure to development and automation tools
- Learning how technology solutions are built, deployed, run and protected, to support business functions
- Participating in the evolution of BBH’s technology strategy (including data and AI)
What BBH’s Technology groups look for in an intern:
- Currently a junior in college, entering senior year in Fall of 2025
- Undergraduate computer science or information technology majors are strongly preferred with a GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Ability to analyze business processes to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Experience or interest in working with large quantities of information for analysis
- Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, both independently and as part of a team
- Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, escalate and resolve a problem
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple deadlines
- PC proficiency, specifically in MS Office, general knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Technology design, Agile development, Programming skills (e.g. Java, SQL)
