Research Technician

Under the close supervision of Principal Investigator, the Technician will conduct a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols in microbiology and molecular biology. This may include routine cultivation of bacteria and phages, growth assays, PCR, DNA extractions, cloning, sequencing, bioinformatic analyses, and anaerobic work. The Technician will design and execute experiments and analyze data, and assist in running day-to-day operations including coordinating lab meetings, purchasing supplies, ensuring lab safety, training employees, and maintaining lab culture collections.
