2025 Charles Schwab Internal Audit Internship (Westlake, TX)

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Throughout the 9-week paid Internal Audit internship, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths! In this role, you will gain exposure to the Internal Audit Department (IAD) which provides independent and objective assessments to determine whether all significant risks are identified and appropriately reported by management and risk functions to the Board and Executive Management. Internal Audit uses a systemic, disciplined approach to evaluate whether risks are adequately controlled, and to challenge Executive Management to improve the effectiveness of governance processes, risk management, and internal controls. The three Enterprise Teams that you will have the opportunity to support during the internship are the Broker-Dealer and Asset Management team, Bank team, or the Corporate team.
