2025 Summer Internship - U.S. Global Wealth Management, Growth Markets

 

Positions are located in New York, NY.

 

You're eligible to apply if you:

Are able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2026 – August 2026

Are enrolled at a university during the Fall 2025 semester (August 2025 – December 2025)

Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent, at an accredited 4-year college or university

Are business proficient in English

Global Wealth Management (GWM)’s mission is to create industry leading experiences for financial intermediates and their individual investor clients while providing a strong contribution to PIMCO’s overall business results. PIMCO GWM is responsible for business strategy and client coverage for the intermediated individual investor segment of the market. Converge includes RIAs, family offices, banks/ brokerage firms, trust banks, platforms and sub-advisory relationships.

 

The Growth Markets Group within GWM focuses on the growth and ongoing institutionalization of product and vehicle extensions through teams dedicated to Alternatives, Exchange-Traded Funds, Models, and Separately Managed Accounts.

 

Responsibilities for this role include:

Conducting research on market trends, competitor offerings, economic indicators, and investment products to support the broader team’s ability to differentiate PIMCO’s solutions for clients.

Using data analytics tools to analyze portfolios, investment performance, and market data to support business development/client servicing and internal strategic decision-making.

Assisting in the development and execution of vehicle business plans in collaboration with GWM stakeholders, including sales and product strategy teams.

 

You'll excel as a Growth Markets Analyst if you:

Show strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance as demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internship/work experience and/or professional & club participation

Possess solid foundation in finance and economics, and familiarity with basic investment concepts

Have the ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing

Demonstrate ability to conduct research and analyze complex data to identify trends and draw meaningful insights;

Possess the ability to develop relationships into strategic partnerships, both internally and externally with clients

Are personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, adaptable, problem-solver, self-starter, accountable

Have the ability to multi-task and handle several projects delivering completed work within expected timeline; while maintaining high level of attention to detail

Demonstrate high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

The PIMCO Internship Program runs between Monday, June 9 – Friday, August 15, 2025 with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program

During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success

Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts

Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events!

Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer

You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

Following the video interview and if selected to move forward, you'll meet with us during final-round interviews conducted live via video conference. Interviews typically consist of behavioral and technical concepts.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

 


 

 

Hourly Rate: $ 43.26
