2025 Summer Internship – Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales, US

 

Internship positions are located in Austin, TX.

 

You’re eligible to apply if you:

Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2026 – August 2026

Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2025 semester (August 2025 – December 2025)

Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university

Are business proficient in English

 

See yourself as a Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales Summer Analyst:
Global Wealth Management (GWM)’s mission is to create industry leading experiences for financial intermediates and their individual investor clients while providing a strong contribution to PIMCO’s overall business results. PIMCO GWM is responsible for business strategy and client coverage for the intermediated individual investor segment of the market. Converge includes RIAs, family offices, banks/ brokerage firms, trust banks, platforms, and sub-advisory relationships.

 

The Internal Sales team within GWM is responsible for supporting external sales representatives, managing client relationships, and driving the sales of PIMCO's diverse range of investment products. They act as the primary point of contact for financial advisors and institutional clients, providing them with timely and accurate information about PIMCO’s offerings and market insights. By preparing sales materials, coordinating sales leads, and tracking market trends, the internal sales team ensures that the external sales force is well-equipped to meet client needs and achieve sales targets. 

 

Intern responsibilities for this role include:

Networking and collaborating with the internal sales desk to better understand the client service model

Learning and utilizing a sales process framework to enhance presentation and mock sales skills

Investigating and presenting research findings on an assigned market sector deep dive

Leveraging internal optimization tools to allocate a mock client portfolio that aligns with specific objectives

Participating in a mock sales competition, focused on showcasing market and investment knowledge learned over the course of the summer

 

The internship provides excellent development and training to prepare for a career as an Internal Account Analyst at PIMCO – a role that includes obtaining FINRA licenses and building and maintaining relationships with Financial Advisor clients.

 

You’ll excel as a Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales Summer Analyst if you:

Show strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance as demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internship/work experience and/or professional organization & campus club participation

Have some experience in sales related roles or a demonstrated interest in sales through club engagement, personal ventures, coursework, etc.

Possess solid foundation in finance and economics, and familiarity with financial statements and basic investment concepts

Are able to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing

Have an interest in a client facing career within Finance and relationship building is a key part of your life

Are friendly and genuinely enjoy working in a team environment, yet ready to run with projects independently

Have excellent people skills: you love to pay attention to people, are engaging, and almost never run out of relevant things to discuss

Are inquisitive, and have a natural thirst for knowledge, and are a firm believer that given enough time and resources, you can achieve any goal

Have the ability to multi-task and handle several projects delivering completed work within expected timeline; while maintaining high level of attention to detail

Show a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

The PIMCO Internship Program runs between Monday, June 9 – Friday, August 15, 2025, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program

During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success

Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer

You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

Following the video interview and if selected to move forward, you'll meet with us during final-round interviews conducted live via video conference. Interviews typically consist of behavioral and technical concepts.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

 


 

 

Hourly Rate: $ 33.65
