Co-Op, Operations (6-months, January 2025 Start

A career in Operations where none of us stand still.

The operations department at the Oak Hill manufacturing site is responsible for the manufacturing of world leading toothpaste brands (Sensodyne®, Pronamel®, Paradontax®, Polident® and Aquafresh®). As operations Co-op you will assist us:

In the manufacturing and/or packaging department in the making of toothpaste,

Improving our processes and procedures,

Participate with subject matters experts on new designs or re-engineering,

Experiment with new methodologies with a group of experts,

Participate and lead meetings and brainstorming sessions,

 

A typical day for a Co-op starts at 8am and ends at 5pm, with flexibility based on the projects or tasks they are involved. Upon graduation, successful operations Co-ops could potentially fill a multitude of roles, such as: first line leader, project engineer, and operations engineer in any of our sites in North America.

Training in safety, quality, engineering and operations will be provided on site based on assigned activities and projects.

 

At the end of the Co-op, you will learn how toothpaste is made, become familiar with a regulated fast consumer product environment, and proudly contribute with the site growth.

 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

Work with stakeholders at different levels across the business

Collect, analyze and propose improvements based on field observations.

Solve specific site problems under the direction of a subject matter expert.

Manage small to medium projects from beginning to end or in one or more of the project phases: specification, purchasing, installation, validation, and commissioning.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

 

Education required:

Pursuing a BS degree in industrial engineering, mechanical, or chemical engineering, supply chain, or related field

3.0 or greater cumulative GPA

 

Other requirements:

Ability to start in January 2025.

Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis (40 hours a week) during the co-op duration (12 months).

Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.

This role is onsite at our Oak Hill site in East Durham, NY.

Candidate must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of, their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.

 

 

Role start date: January 2025

 

 

 

The hourly rate for this role is $24.00.

Education required: junior or senior in one of the following disciplines: industrial, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, supply chain or business administration or other technical discipline related to manufacturing.

Other requirements: driver’s license or ability to be onsite during the Co-op.
