Product Analyst

Getting To Know the Opportunity:

This role is a part of our Voya Investment Management (IM) Entry Level Program. This program, which will begin in July 2025, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your career in your respective fields while gaining hands-on experience and formal development and training. The Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) Alternative Product Solutions team develops, manages, and supports the firms Private/Alternative business initiatives which include, among others: new fund launches, assessing/pricing new business opportunities, researching/analyzing the market for future opportunities and responding to client queries about our funds. This team partners with Sales, Investments, Legal, Operations and other areas to execute on our initiatives to meet client needs. Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager.

 

The Contributions You'll Make:

Support an VP and team of Private/Alternatives product development managers.

Perform research and analysis related to Private/Alternatives funds and strategies.

Assist in developing proposal materials for internal approvals and external clients, in partnership with Marketing.

Manage smaller scale projects and routine, repeatable projects.

Support department’s processes for governance, decision making and project management by assisting in the compilation of committee materials, agendas and minutes for meetings as assigned.

Learn and develop product and project management skills.

Prepare and communicate competitive research on trends in new products and new strategies.

Develop understanding of our fees as well as competitor fees and be able to communicate a point of view on the suitability of a proposed fee.

Demonstrate ability to communicate easily and thoroughly. Proactively ask questions, raise issues, and reach outside of department to gather information. Build positive working relationships.

Maintain ongoing tracking of new product pipeline and departmental projects.

Develop ability to recognize potential issues within projects.

Identify opportunities for efficiencies of our regular functions.

Display intense focus on meeting deadlines.

Demonstrate ability to identify potential risk items and bring them to senior manager’s attention.

Accept special projects as assigned.

 

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

Applicant should be graduating with an undergraduate degree in the December 2024/Spring 2025.

Strong academic standing

College degree (Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred).

Experience in financial services or investment industry preferred.

Strong, demonstrated oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Ability to develop critical thinking and analytical skills to find solutions to project challenges.

Ability to work accurately and independently as well as function in a team environment.

Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

Strong PC skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
