Human Resource Specialist (Recruitment and Placement)

Duties

  • Recruits new and diverse talent for federal jobs via professional and community organizations, affinity groups, college campuses, career fairs, etc.
  • Develops and maintains a strategic annual recruitment plan.
  • Advises hiring officials on federal recruitment flexibilities.
  • Demonstrates creative sourcing skills using traditional and non-traditional techniques including social media channels, phone calls, direct sourcing, and networking.
  • Forges relationships with universities and strategically promotes university partnerships.
  • Initiates and maintains extensive area-wide community relationships, including productive relationships with external and internal groups, to ensure long-term, continuous support of the Bureau of Land Management.
