2025 University Recruiting - Clinical Data Management Operational Excellence Internship

Clinical Data Management Operational Excellence is looking for talented and motivated students for Summer internships. Selected individuals will support strategic and operational projects related to process and quality in clinical data management. Working alongside experienced members of the team, the successful candidate will assist with special projects, analyze and evaluate processes, and propose innovative resolutions. Clinical Data Management is the practice of defining, designing, implementing, investigating, cleaning end ensuring that data collected in support of the needs of a clinical research trial satisfy the analysis and reporting requirements necessary to satisfy (regulatory requirements) of the planned Clinical Study Report. As part of the Global Data Management and Standards organization, the Operational Excellence intern position will expose the student to a deep dive into the discipline of Data Management with a focus on quality and process as well as offer exposure to various other disciplines in the practice of Clinical Development.

 

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:  

▪ Process improvement initiatives

▪ Application of Health Authority regulations to practice and process

▪ Health Authority Inspection readiness and preparation 

 

Education:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program, in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) or similar major.

Candidates must have completed at least two (2) full years of an undergraduate degree prior to the start of this position. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of strong academic achievement, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

 

Required Experience and Skills:

1. Must be able to work full-time for up to twelve (12) weeks beginning in May or June 2025.

2. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Strong document management and organizational skills.

4. Must have initiative, leadership, and ownership of deliverables.

5. Must be a self-started, fast learner, and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.

6. Able to manage and independently drive projects to completion.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  

Preferred Experience and Skills:  

1. Self-motivated, excellent in work planning and time management.  

2. Fluent oral and written English skills.

3. Able to work under pressure and in a changing environment with flexibility.  

4. Good communication skills, and able to communicate with both technical and business areas.

5. Familiarity with medical terminology.

 

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

 

Expected salary range:

 $39,600.00 - $105,500.00
