Guest Services Internship

Working at Camp Augusta is unlike any other summer experience. Each day is jam-packed full of growth, passion, silliness, celebration, magic, deep connection, and wonder. Staff have the opportunity to challenge themselves by learning and teaching an astounding variety of activities, celebrating with campers as we test our own limits of what’s possible. We are also happy to co-design an internship (for credit) based on the skills and development you seek. 



Being an Office Administrative Assistant at Camp Augusta means gaining valuable experience in communications and office management while living, working, and playing in an incredible summer camp environment. This can be an incredible opportunity for someone who is interested in being in an outdoor-focused community while also gaining skills that can be brought forward to anyone in their resume.

The summer salary for this role is between $5,000 and $7,000 depending on experience and responsibilities. Additional opportunities for pre-and post-season work also exist. Must be able to work our entire main season (May 13th to August 9th).

The Office Assistant holds a vital role within the office, which acts as the main hub for communication between parents and camp. Their main responsibilities include answering phone calls and high volumes of email, organizing camper and staff paperwork, being the phone voice of camp, using spreadsheets, and much more. This position helps create the possibility of camp magic in so many ways. In addition to their office duties, the Office Assistant will teach one or two activities daily. A high level of customer service, multitasking ability, and attention to detail make a successful candidate.

Minimum requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age by June 1st, 2025
  • Must be available during our summer dates: from May 13th to August 9th 2025 (if within a couple days, inquire)
  • Ability to commit to 5-8 hours of pre-camp onboarding work a week from when you are hired to when you arrive, and maintain open and prompt communication about that work'
  • Must be willing and able to either show proof of a positive COVID test or COVID booster since Sept 1, 2024

Preferred qualifications:

  • A history of ‘meaningful’ work and a variety of experiences with youth
  • A plethora of interesting hobbies, passions, and life experiences that you’re excited to share with us
  • A GPA of 3.0+ with a true excitement for learning and writing
