Actuarial Associate

How you'll make an impact
Entry level role on a dynamic actuarial consulting team looking to solve and advise on a variety of business challenges facing our clients, with a primary focus on their retirement benefit plans. Ideal candidate will be on the SOA track.
- Reviews data for completeness and reasonability
- Organizes and formats participant and financial data for valuation/project analysis purposes
- Has telephone contact with clients /vendors on data issues and other simple matters
- Becomes familiar with benefit provisions, benefit calculations, valuation results, compliance issues, and general project procedures
- Assists in the preparation of project results, emailed communications, presentation materials, letters and reports
- Assists with special projects or other assignments as instructed by your supervisor/manager
About you
Required:
- Math, actuarial science or economics degree or equivalent preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to grasp and familiarize oneself with actuarial terms and concepts
- Strong math and computer skills
- Superior attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work on a team
Preferred:
- 3.0 grade-point average preferred
- Preferred to have passed one SOA exam
- Actuarial Internship
