9213: Corporate Communication Intern

2025-2026 Corporate Communication School Year Intern

 

Purpose of the Internship:

As a Corporate Communications School Year Intern, you will be responsible for planning and completion of individual team and/or Federated Hermes projects, including daily media reconnaissance, one-page quarterly corporate fact sheets, internal communications projects and advertising and video communications efforts.

Major Duties:

  • Utilize media relations software for research purposes
  • Utilize media tracking software to maintain, news clips from newspapers, magazines and other sources
  • Contribute to social media efforts
  • Prepare Monthly Broadcast Report and Monthly Top Article Report
  • Order reprints of articles
  • Organize and schedule photography sessions for investment personnel
  • Work with internal clients to produce lobby signage
  • Work with writers, designers and E-marketing team members to research and create infographics for website
  • Research competitor websites and assist as needed on digital initiatives including web refresh and content personalization
  • Post items to FederatedHermes.com on an as-requested basis, working under guidance of the E-marketing team and ensuring that appropriate approvals are obtained
  • Assist with internal and external public relations initiatives
  • Assist with internal communications efforts

Hours/location:  

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • The internship is full-time during the summer working 37.5 hours/week and part-time during the school year working 15-20 hours/week.  Schedule can be flexible based on student’s schedule.

Position Specifications: 

  • In pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in communications, journalism or related field required
  • Minimum of one year communications experience through internships or course work required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Interest in mutual funds industry
