Environmental Science Intern
Get hands-on experience in the office and in the field, working on ongoing environmental projects in Oakland County this upcoming summer 2025!
Interns will participate in providing assistance with field activities related to:
- wetland delineations
- soil erosion and sediment control
- regulated material management
- water sampling
- stream monitoring and assessments
- historical site documentation
- facility inspections
Requirements:
- Completion of assignments within established timelines.
- Quality of documentation (notes and photographs) and reports.
- Maintaining communication with supervisors and task leaders.
- Dependable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions (wetlands, fields, roadways, high heat, and rain).
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word to generate reports
- Geographic information system (GIS) experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and think critically of desired objectives and outcomes.
Educational Requirements:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Geology, Ecology, Biology, Geography, or similar.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License
