Associate Attorney (1-3 Years Legal Experience)
**Location:** Bloomington, Monroe County, Indiana  
**Practice Areas:** Serving clients from Indianapolis to Evansville, Terre Haute to Columbus, and New Albany

Our well-established firm in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking an **Associate Attorney** with 1-3 years of legal experience to join our dynamic team. We offer a supportive environment for professional growth while serving clients across a broad geographic area, including but not limited to the Indianapolis metro area, Terre Haute, Columbus, Evansville, and New Albany.

Position Overview:

The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys to handle a diverse range of civil litigation, family law, estate litigation, real estate litigation, and criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage discovery, conduct pre-trial preparation, and handle pre-trial conferences independently. The role offers substantial opportunities for courtroom exposure and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- **Discovery Management:** Drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing documents, and engaging in depositions.
- **Pre-Trial Preparation:** Preparing legal memoranda, motions, briefs, and other documents necessary for trial proceedings.
- **Pre-Trial Conferences:** Representing clients in pre-trial hearings and conferences.
- **Client Communication:** Regularly meeting with clients to discuss case progress and strategic plans.
- **Legal Research:** Conducting thorough legal research to support case strategies and motions.
- **Collaborative Case Management:** Working with senior attorneys on case strategy and courtroom presentation.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Indiana.
- 1-3 years of legal experience (preferred, but not required in specific practice areas).
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned matters while being part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
- Commitment to client service and ethical practice.

Work Schedule:
- **Office Hours:** Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch break).
- Occasional travel required within the state to cover cases in various jurisdictions.
